Where an existing honed area is extended, levels can be coordinated but exact aggregate and colour matching should not be promised.

Concrete thickness, strength and reinforcement should suit the intended traffic, ground conditions, slab shape and any engineering requirements.

Sealing can enhance colour and help protect the surface, although future cleaning and resealing should be allowed for.

Falls and drainage should be resolved before formwork is fixed so water does not collect near doors, garages or pool edges.

The project should be planned around surface grip, heat exposure, water management, pool edges and sealing. Access for removal equipment, concrete trucks, pumps and grinding machinery should be confirmed before booking.
